Kingsmen's Goalie Bruised and Beaten

Kings Park's Daniel Stern did a lot of battling in one half of play against Sachem East on Friday night. Not only did Stern have to deal with his opponent and hot temperatures, but the senior was left defenseless in a valiant, but unsuccessful attempt to stop a point-blank shot that resulted int the game's only goal.

Later, he was run into by a Sachem player, causing a facial injury that resulted in his removal from the game. And the "real" season doesn't start for almost two months.
