Kings Park High School alum Tim Lawrence is one of seven members of the Plattsburgh State men's lacrosse team to receive All-SUNYAC (State University of New York Athletic Conference) First Team nods.

Kings Park High School alum Tim Lawrence is one of seven members of the Plattsburgh State men’s lacrosse team who were honored on April 30 as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced the 2013 SUNYAC Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference Team.

SUNY Plattsburgh junior Lawrence, along with Joey Kramer, Nick Travers and Ryan Phillips each received All-SUNYAC First Team nods, according to a report on PressRepublican.com.

Charlie Dullea and Brett McClelland garnered second team honors while Mike Lind was one of four honorable mention selections, the report said, adding, the seven all-conference honorees mark a program high for the Cardinals, which previously set the record with five last season.

In addition, Lawrence, along with Kramer, Travers and Phillips, join Kyle Norchi (2011) and Chris Hopps (2008) as the only Plattsburgh State players to receive first-team accolades, the report said.

Lawrence receives the second straight all-conference award of his career as a member of the first team. A junior attackman, Lawrence is third on the team with 26 goals and 15 assists. He is the Cardinals’ leading scorer in conference play, tallying 19 of his 41 points against SUNYAC opponents. In addition to his offensive numbers, Lawrence has picked up 32 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers, the report said.
Lawrence lettered twice in winter track, three times in soccer and three times in lacrosse at Kings Park High School. He ran winter track and was league champion in his junior and senior years and named all-conference in soccer as a senior, senior MVP and earned the coach's award as a junior
Lawrence was also named all-league in track as a senior and earned all-county honors in lacrosse as a senior, leading the team with 68 points.
