Man Robbed at Gunpoint at Hauppauge Motel

A man opened the door to his Hauppauge motel room Monday morning to find a man pointing a gun at him, police said.

The incident occurred at the Olympic Lodge Motel located at 650 Motor Parkway at about 7 a.m.

Police say the man in the motel room opened the door after hearing a knock. The man attempted to grab the gun from the robber and during the struggle the victim suffered a cut on his head, police said.

The robber fled with the man’s wallet. No arrests have been made.
