Motorcyclist From Kings Park Killed in Commack Crash

The crash occurred Wednesday evening, police say.

COMMACK, NY – A 52-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a car in Commack Wednesday evening, police said.

According to police, Vincent Giovannantonio was riding a 2006 Triumph motorcycle north on Indian Head Road when a 2003 Ford Taurus heading south attempted to make a left turn onto Kings Park Road at about 5:05 p.m.

Giovannantonio, of Kings Park, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford, 73-year-old Fred Kleeman, of Commack, stayed at the scene and was not injured.

No criminal charges have been filed. Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing.
