Pitcher Lindsay Taylor Set to Join Syracuse University Softball Team
Kings Park record breaker will join the softball squad for the 2011-2012 season.

Kings Park High School Senior Lindsay Taylor will join the Syracuse Univesrity softball team as a pitcher for the 2011-21012 season.
Taylor, a First Team All-State selection the last two season recently pitched two consecutive no-hitters. Last spring, she went 22-3 and posted an 0.59 earned run average. Last year she had 15 shutouts, nine no-hitters, three perfect games and 291 strikeouts.
Taylor’s nine no-nos set the New York State single-season record and brought her total to 15 for her career.

“She has discipline and does the right thing. She’s just a great player,” said her coach Kim McGinley.
"Lindsay will be a great addition to our pitching staff next year," said Head Coach Leigh Ross. "She has proven herself as one of the top pitchers in the state of New York and is a fine all-around player as well. We are thrilled that she is joining the Syracuse family."

Taylor’s impressive record includes two-time Suffolk County Class A Pitcher of the Year as well as a two-time all state honoree and four-time all conference selection. As a junior Taylor set a New York State single-season record with nine no-hitters.
