Police Release New Photos, Video of Serial Bank Robber

The man is wanted for robbing four Suffolk County banks in June; reward offered for info leading to an arrest.

Police on Wednesday released new photos and surveillance video (see below) of a man they say robbed four banks in Suffolk County in June. 

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Pattern Crime Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man.

On June 29 at approximately 9:40 a.m., police said the man entered the Chase bank, located at 472 Medford Avenue in Patchogue, approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the man fled on foot.

On June 11 at approximately 4 p.m., the same suspect entered Chase bank, located at 2430 North Ocean Avenue Farmingville, demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

On June 24 at approximately 2:30 p.m., he entered the Chase bank, located at 2650 Sunrise Highway in East Islip, presented a note demanding cash and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. The following day, he robbed Capital One, located at 131 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, at approximately 5:20 p.m., police said. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man is described as white, between 35 and 45-years-old, about 6-foot to 6-foot-2 with a thin build.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
