My good friend once told me to only go trick or treating at houses that are decorated. Seems like good advice. Travel in a group if possible with a parent nearby, and check ALL candy/treats (erasers that look like candy, expired candies, or choking hazards for little ones). Also, if you are putting candy outside, make a separate container for nut free/allergen free items!
