School Supply Donations Needed For Local Outreach Program

The office of Suffolk County Legis. Lynne Nowick, will be a drop-off site for donations of school supplies to provide for to residents receiving services from Sts. Philip and James Outreach Program in St. James until August 29.

“This is a wonderful program that provides children with backpacks filled with supplies to help them start the new school year,” said Nowick in a statement.

Items needed include:

  • Composition notebooks
  • Folders with pockets
  • Colored markers
  • Broad tip makers
  • Dry erase markers
  • Colored Pencils
  • Pen and pencil cases
  • Crayons
  • Glue sticks
  • Pencils
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Ziploc bags (sandwich and gallon)
  • Pens
  • Erasers
  • Rulers
  • Backpacks

School supplies may be dropped off at 59 Landing Avenue in Smithtown from Monday-Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. For more information call 854-3900.
