Simon Kidgits Club Hosting Happy Haunting Halloween Party at Smith Haven Mall
Smith Haven Mall will offer children a safe place to take part in Halloween activities

Smith Haven Mall will offer Lake Grove-area children a safe place to take part in Halloween activities as the Simon Kidgits Club® presents its annual Kidgits Boo Bash on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m in Center Court.
Families are also invited to Smith Haven Mall for a Safe Trick-or-Treat event on October 31 from 3 to 5 p.m. Costumed children can visit participating mall retailers, who will give out treats, while supplies last.
“Smith Haven Mall is the perfect place for families looking for Halloween entertainment in a fun, safe community environment,” said Ashley Jacobsen, director of mall marketing and business development for Smith Haven Mall. “Whether kids want to show off their new costume or take home some Halloween-themed crafts, there is an activity here for every ghost, witch, princess and werewolf. Kidgits Boo Bash is a great addition to our year-long Simon Kidgits Club programs.”

At the Smith Haven Mall Kidgits Boo Bash, a free app called The Bully Free Zone will be available for download. The Bully Free Zone is an app released by Captain McFinn and features fun activities, a new McFinn cartoon, and a chance for families to win a free iPad Air.
Families who download the app can sign the Bully Free pledge and help spread the word about bully prevention. They can also spread kindness with one of the app’s featured activities, the Kindness Calendar. With the Kindness Calendar, children and parents receive prompts to complete acts of kindness. Once an act is complete, it is tracked in the Kindness feed. The more kind acts that are accomplished, the more badges children and their parents receive. This free app is a perfect and fun way for families to participate in Bully Prevention Month.
Smith Haven Mall will have several activity stations and games for children to enjoy, which includes pumpkin decorating, Halloween crafts, “Mummy Wrap Relay” and more.
Children are encouraged to come in their costumes and won’t want to miss out on making a fall crown and participating in fun crafts and activities with Capital One. Families can also enjoy tasty treats as Auntie Anne’s, California Pizza Kitchen and P.F. Chang’s China Bistro offer delicious food samples. Stride Rite will offer shoe fittings and Team Dawg will present important information about stranger danger. Cohen Children’s Medical Center will also provide snack recipe cards, illustrating how to make smiles out of apples, marshmallows and sunflower seed butter. And, all Kidgits members will have an opportunity to decorate their very own pumpkin and take home a bag filled with goodies to enjoy.
The Simon Kidgits Club is a fun and informative program that focuses on health, wellness, education, safety and entertainment for children ages 3-8.
