State Police Investigating Rape at Nissequogue River State Park
A 20-year-old woman was attacked Monday evening on a bicycle path near Old Dock Road, police say.
New York State Park police are investigating the rape of a 20-year-old woman at in Kings Park.
The victim was walking on a bicycle path near Old Dock Road in the park when she was accosted at approximately 5:30 p.m. Monday, according to police.
State Park and Suffolk County police searched the area and surrounding community with the assistance of a helicopter.

The victim described her attacker as a white man, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin, muscular build and blond hair, wearing black gloves.
State Park police are conducting an investigation into the incident and are requesting that anyone with information about the case call 631-321-3700. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
