Two Hurt in Kings Park Crash, Driver Charged With DWI

A Kings Park woman faces a DWI charge following a single-car crash in Kings Park early Wednesday that injured the woman and her passenger, police said.

According to police, Krista Sison, 25, was driving a 2003 Hyundai west on Sunken Meadow Road, east of Kohr Road, when she apparently lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a wooded area on the north side of the road at about 1:30 a.m., police said.

Sison and a male passenger were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via ambulance where they were both treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Sison is charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana. She will be arraigned at a later date.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash and has not been interviewed to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
