Varsity Scoreboard: Lady Kingsmen Fall to Harborfields, KP Wrestling Defeats Sayville
A look at scoring in varsity games in Kings Park from Jan. 6 to Jan. 14.
Varsity Hockey: The Kings Park/Commack hockey team lost a two-goal lead in the final minute of the game against East Islip and ultimately tied the Redmen 4-4. The team picked up a valuable point in the standings and remained in second place. They will travel to Hudson Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 and then faceoff with Northport/Huntington at 9:40 p.m. on Jan 17.
Varsity Boys Basketball: The Kings Park boys basketball team enjoyed an eight-day layoff after two narrow games. The Kingsmen lost to Miller Place by one on Jan. 4 and followed up by beating Sayville 41-39 on Jan 6. Nick Borkowski led the team in scoring in both contests, combining for 33 points in two games. The team will travel to Harborfields on Jan. 14 for their next game.
Varsity Wrestling: Kings Park defeated Sayville 42-26 on Jan. 11. Russ Manuello, wrestling at 145 lbs., won a critical match in overtime over Sayville's Paul Piscatelli.

Varsity Girls Basketball: The Lady Kingsmen fell to Harborfields in a battle of top teams in League V Jan. 13, 46-38. Meghan Eckel led all scorers with 18 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Tornadoes.
