Elections are just around the corner and campaigns are in full swing.
In the Town of Smithtown, longtime Republican Town Supervisor Patrick Vecchio is being challenged by Democrat Steve Snair and Conservative Robert Creighton.
All 18 seats in the Suffolk County Legislature are also up for grabs. In the 13th District, Democrat Elaine Turley, Republican Rob Trotta, Conservative Paul Hennings and Independent Mario Mattera are on the ballot. In the 12th District, Democrat Gary Jacobs faces Republican John Kennedy.
