UCSPCA beats thousands to win $2,000 national contest (hudsonvalleyone.com) — A longtime resident dog at the Ulster County SPCA in Kingston just helped win $2,000 for the shelter in a national "Dress Your Pet Like Bret" contest, and he's still looking for a home. Oakley, a 9‑year‑old mixed-breed, gained national attention that staff hope will finally connect him with a Kingston-area adopter ready for a pet without kids, cats, or other dogs.
