2 New Principals Chosen For Rye Neck Schools
Both new hires will assume their new positions July 1.

MAMARONECK, NY — Two new principals have been chosen to lead Rye Neck schools. The Rye Neck Union Free School District Board of Education announced Tina Yu Wilson will become the principal of Rye Neck High School, and Tara Napoleoni Goldberg will be the principal of Daniel Warren Elementary School. Both women will take over in the new jobs July 1.
With 18 years of experience in public education, Wilson comes from the Hendrick Hudson Central School District where she has served as assistant principal for three years.
“I am pleased to have Wilson join us as principal,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Barbara Ferraro said. “She is an experienced and highly effective administrator who understands the importance of creating and maintaining a school culture of inquiry, building positive relationships with students, providing opportunities for professional collaboration and professional growth for teachers, and engaging all stakeholders through clear communication and accountability to help improve student outcomes.”

During her tenure at Hendrick Hudson High School, Wilson served as supervising administrator for the mathematics and science departments, co-facilitated the school’s implementation of the Teaching is the Core initiative through BOCES, and served as district delegate for Project Lead the Way programs in biomedical sciences, engineering and computer science. Prior to that role, she worked for the New York City Department of Education for eight years as assistant principal whose responsibilities included management of school budget and operations to improve and support student learning. Wilson previously worked as a science and math teacher in a middle school and two NYC high schools for eight years.
Wilson earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s degree in secondary education from Long Island University. She also holds a School Building Leader certification from Touro College and is currently working toward her doctoral degree in education from Manhattanville College.

Napoleoni Goldberg joins Rye Neck from Public School 183 in District 2 in the New York City Department of Education where she has served as principal for seven years.

“She understands the multitude of roles, responsibilities and relationships that it takes to successfully lead a school community,” Ferraro said. “She believes in creating a joyful learning environment where students engage in natural curiosities and wonders, while teachers skillfully scaffold instruction so that students can grow independently as readers, writers, researchers, scientists and mathematicians.”
During her time at PS 183, Napoleoni Goldberg established schoolwide instructional focus and goals, collaborated with consultants to plan professional development to deepen the curriculum and worked closely with the PTA to organize events geared toward community celebrations. She formerly served as assistant principal at Public School 183 and Public School 197.
Napoleoni Goldberg earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Russell Sage College, her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University and her leadership certification through Baruch College.
