2 Hudson Valley Brothers Receive Bronze Stars for Army Service
Their military careers remarkably crossed paths frequently.

LARCHMONT, NY - Two brothers from Larchmont, who ended up serving in the Army at the same time, in the same division and in the same Afghanistan mortar pit, found themselves sharing another milestone.
Staff Sgt. Richard Pisano, the elder, and 1st Lt. Nick Pisano, the younger, were both awarded Bronze Stars March 15, according an article at the Journal News.
While Nick Pisano said he didn’t like talking about what led to his medal, brother Richard Pisano said he and his platoon were in charge of the mortar fire point on Kandahar Airfield.
