2017-18 School Calendar for Mamaroneck District
The new school year starts soon. Here are dates you and your children need to know.
MAMARONECK, NY — There are a few more beach days, but the reality is, the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2017-18 school year in the Mamaroneck Union Free School District.
- Superintendent's Conference Day (no students): Sept. 1
- Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 4
- First day of school: Sept. 5
- Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 21-22
- Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 9
- Superintendent’s Conference Day (school closed for students): Nov. 7
- Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 10
- Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 23-24 (early dismissal Nov. 22)
- Holiday recess: Dec. 22-Jan. 1 (school resumes Jan. 2)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 15
- Winter recess (school closed): Feb. 19-23
- Superintendent's Conference Day (school closed for students): March 7
- Holiday recess: March 30-April 6
- Snow/Spring Giveback Day #1: May 25 17 TBD
- Memorial Day weekend (school closed): May 28
- Snow/Spring Giveback Day #2: May 29 TBD
- Last day of school: June 22
