3 Massage Parlors Closed After Undercover Prostitution Sting, Arrests: Police

The investigation was initiated after a complaint, and the joint operation took place at three locations in the Village of Mamaroneck.

MAMARONECK, NY — Prostitution-related raids at three addresses in Mamaroneck led to arrests, and the shuttering of illegal businesses, according to police.

The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department, working with the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, New York State Police, and the MTA Police Department, conducted a joint task force operation on Thursday. The operation focused on illegal massage parlors and prostitution-related activity in the village.

The investigation was initiated after a complaint. The operation took place at three locations: 437 Ward Avenue, 416 Mamaroneck Avenue, and 172 East Boston Post Road, according to police.

Investigators conducted on-site investigations that resulted in multiple arrests for prostitution-related offenses and the unauthorized practice of a profession, police said.

At 437 Ward Avenue, two suspects were arrested after investigators determined that massages were being provided without proper licensing, and an offer of a sexual act was made in exchange for money, according to police. In both cases, the suspects were taken into custody, and the establishment was closed by the Village of Mamaroneck Building Department.

At 416 Mamaroneck Avenue, a woman offered sexual intercourse for money to an investigator and was arrested and charged with prostitution, according to police. The business was also closed by the Building Department.

At 172 East Boston Post Road, sexual services were offered to an investigator after a massage, cops said. Two suspects were arrested, and the business was shut down by the Building Department.

All the suspects who were arrested were charged with felony unauthorized practice of a profession, three of the five were charged with prostitution, and one suspect was charged with promoting prostitution. All of those arrested were issued desk appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the Village of Mamaroneck Court on Feb. 12, according to authorities.
