49-Year-Old Charged In Weekend Mamaroneck Station Tunnel Assault
MTA police said what started as aggressive panhandling escalated and led to attempted robbery, harassment and unlawful imprisonment charges.

MAMARONECK, NY — Some tense moments at a Hudson Valley Metro-North train station rustled in criminal charges for a panhandler, according to cops.
MTA police say that on Saturday afternoon, they charged Carlos Rosales, 49, with attempted robbery, 2nd degree harassment and unlawful imprisonment, following the incident in the Mamaroneck train station tunnel.
A passenger reported the disturbing events in the tunnel at around 3 p.m. The victim said a panhandler asked for money and the rail passenger gave him with 75 cents, and told the man that was all the money he had.

The victim told police that the suspect continued to ask for more money and blocked his path, pushed him and grabbed him by the arm. The victim told police he did not sustain any physical injury, was not in pain, and did not give the suspect any additional money.
