MAMARONECK, NY — A 56-year-old Larchmont woman has become a full-fledge volunteer firefighter for the Mamaroneck Fire Department. Robin Nesdale is one of only a few female volunteers and is the oldest, as far as she knows.
Nesdale underwent 130 hours of classes, two 100-question exams and a physical test that included carrying a 40-pound hose up and down three flights of stairs, the Daily Voice said. [Get Patch’s Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts here.]
