LARCHMONT-MAMARONECK, NY — The kids show that brings children's television, and more than a little joy to the neighborhoods of the Sound Shore, has something new to celebrate.

LMC Media in Mamaroneck has been awarded a $5,000 Community Grant from The Junior League of Westchester on the Sound to support the third season of "LMC Kids Show," an educational puppet series for preschoolers in the Sound Shore area.

The funding will be used for production and marketing tied to the show's upcoming season. The series is set against the backdrop of the Town and Villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck, and is designed to introduce young children to life lessons, social-emotional learning and community values.

"LMC Kids Show" follows three puppet characters, Lulu, Miguel and Cassie, as they guide preschoolers through topics that include kindness, sharing, and local safety. The series also uses songs, animation, and local video clips to connect early childhood learning to places children in the community see in everyday life.

LMC Media described that simple, but effective approach as part of its mission to connect, create, and inform the community through media. The organization said the grant will help continue the locally focused educational programming as it prepares for season three.

"We are incredibly grateful to The Junior League of Westchester on the Sound for this generous grant," LMC Executive Director Matt Sullivan said. "As we gear up for production of season three, this funding provides vital support for our production and marketing efforts. It ensures we can build strong audience awareness and continue delivering high-quality, inclusive, and locally- focused educational programming to our youngest neighbors."

If you want to learn more about the program, watch full episodes, appear on the show, or invite the LMC Kids to a school or daycare center, visit the LMC Media website.
