MAMARONECK, NY — Four pedestrians were injured Friday afternoon after a 17-year-old driver trying to park near 251 Mamaroneck Ave. drove onto a curb and struck them, according to police.
The crash happened at 3:41 p.m. on Sunday while the teen was driving with his father in the vehicle. According to Village of Mamaroneck police, the driver was attempting to park in front of 251 Mamaroneck Ave. when he became confused between the accelerator and brake pedals. The vehicle then went up onto the curb and hit four pedestrians.
All four injuries were described as non-life-threatening. A 20-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman were taken to Westchester Medical for further treatment. A 24-year-old woman and another 26-year-old woman refused medical attention at the scene, according to police.
