During the event, several Mercy College students who have received scholarships poignantly related how the opportunity has had a tremendous impact on their lives. Mercy College Freshman Meriem Sbaiti, who helps care for her autistic younger brother at home, is now able to pursue a degree and career in healthcare due to her scholarship. “My goal is to be able to make a difference not only in my brother’s life, but in the lives of kids everywhere,” she said. “Each of you who support the Mercy College scholarship fund is responsible for making my dreams of helping others become a reality.”
