Beat The Heat With A Spray Ground And Show On The Sound
The beach and splash park at Mamaroneck's Harbor Island Park will be open late for moviegoers on Friday. What are your plans to stay cool?

MAMARONECK, NY — Cool sea breezes and extended hours for the spray ground might make taking the kids to see a Disney movie on the beach the perfect way to weather a heatwave.
On Friday, the Village of Mamaroneck Parks and Recreation Department will present “Raya and the Last Dragon” on the Stephen E. Johnston Beach in Harbor Island Park. Movie admission and parking (after 5:30 p.m.) are free.
The Disney blockbuster is just the feature presentation of what promises to be an evening of family fun on the sand. Beach games, music and food trucks will feed and entertain families from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. For those who want to cool off and splash in the water before the movie, the spray ground will stay open until 7:30 p.m.
