From Below To Above: Larchmont's Work Week Weather

LARCHMONT, NY — We kick off the month of May in the Hudson Valley with daytime temps in the 40s and 50s. And with a blustery wind and some rain, it'll feel even colder.

"That kind of chill is WELL below average, nearly 15° to 20° below average!" said the guys at Hudson Valley Weather.

But by mid-week, temps will jump into the 80s across the region. For this time of year, highs are normally in the low 70s.

"Temperatures are likely to remain above average during Thursday and Friday, even with the advent of clouds and showers," said AccuWeather Long-Range Meteorologist Max Vido.

Here's the National Weather Service forecast for southern Westchester:

• Today: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Northwest wind 13 to 15 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 41. Northwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light.
• Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 73. Northwest wind around 8 mph.
• Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55. West wind around 9 mph.
• Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 81. West wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
• Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
• Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 83.
• Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61.
• Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79.
• Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58.
