As part of the project, the village said it will install a biodegradable plant-based hybrid field system. According to the announcement, the system is designed to provide added durability and playability while serving as a more environmentally sustainable alternative to traditional synthetic turf fields.

The village also said the technology is expected to extend the life of the fields and support its environmental stewardship efforts.
