Boston Post Road CityMD Temporarily Closes Amid COVID Crunch

MAMARONECK, NY — CityMD officials said on Tuesday that the impact of extremely high demand in the face of the omicron variant-caused COVID-19 spike has forced the consolidation of resources in Westchester County and the temporary closure of its Mamaroneck clinic.

"Continuing to provide these services to the community is a top priority; however, our physicians and teammates are also a priority," the company said in a statement announcing the closure. "To preserve our ability to staff our sites, we are temporarily closing certain locations effective Wednesday, December 29. It is our hope that closing sites now will best allow us to avoid future closures as this surge continues."

The closures include CityMD Mamaroneck. Company officials said that CityMD Mamaroneck patients should go to CityMD White Plains while their clinic remains closed.

"With 150 locations, we’re hopeful any patients affected by temporary closings should still have easy and convenient access to a CityMD location, " the New York City-based company said. "We will notify you when your neighborhood CityMD location intends to reopen."

Shortly before Christmas, CityMD announced the temporary closure of about two dozen locations in New York and New Jersey, including the clinic in Eastchester. Today's announcement involved the temporary closing of nearly a dozen additional clinics.

Company officials said that CityMD Eastchester patients should go to the CityMD Hartsdale while their clinic remains closed.
