Bronx Faces and Voices: Stories of Courage and Community

Free lecture Tuesday, May 26, 3:30, Larchmont

Emita Hill and Janet Munch will discuss their recently released book which captures the stories and photos of the people who were determined to preserve their Bronx community during the turbulent 1970s and 1980s. Ms. Hill will talk about how the book came to be, why she began an oral history program back in the 80s, and what it means to have the stories in print so many years later. Ms. Munch will also cover the extraordinarily rich and varied research collection on Bronx history in the Bronx Archives at Lehman College. Copies of the book will be for sale.

Refreshments are served at 3:30; program begins at 4:00pm. This program is free and open to the public.
