Douglas Kostner to Explore Special Qualities of the Pipe Organ
Woman's Club of Larchmont's March 20 Program Open to All

Douglas Kostner, director of music ministry at the Larchmont Avenue Church, will treat members and guests of the Woman’s Club of Larchmont to an exploration of the organ – through both performance and discussion of the special qualities of this unique instrument.
Free and open to the public, the event takes place on Friday, March 20, at the Larchmont Avenue Church, 60 Forest Park Avenue, Larchmont at 1:30 p.m.
Mr. Kostner, who enjoys a reputation as a gifted teacher and communicator, has given recitals at many of the best known churches in the New York area. He is a Fellow of Trinity College of Music in London and an Associate of the American Guild of Organists.

In addition to his love of classical music, Mr. Kostner is also an avid fan of folk music and dance from all over the globe. He explains that he hails from a long line of butchers and plumbers, a lineage which perfectly suits him for his chosen profession as an organist, since he is often working in cold buildings with lots of pipes.
