“Drawn by Nature” and “Potpourri” Art Exhibits opening at Larchmont Public Library

The Larchmont Public Library is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibit featuring the art of Diane Elliott and Mary Ann MacLellan. The exhibit will be on display in the Oresman Gallery at the Larchmont Public Library from Tuesday, November 2nd through Monday. November29th, and is open during normal library hours. Please call the library or visit www.larchmontlibrary.org for exhibit hours.  The exhibit is free.

There will be an artist reception at the library on Saturday, November 6th, from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Everyone is invited and the reception is free.

"Drawn by Nature" features the cyanotype art of Diane Elliott. Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue final print. The process dates back to 1842 and its most common usage were to create architectural blueprints. However, the process can be applied to many other mediums including photography. Ms. Elliott's application of the process creates something truly unique. "Potpourri" features the mixed media art of Mary Ann MacLellan. Ms. MacLellan's artworks are inspirational and engaging and a terrific complement to the cyanotype creations of Ms. Elliott.
