Distinguished School Leader to Address At Home on the Sound
Harry Phillips III, currently serving his third term with the NY State Board of Regents, will share his views on charting a new course for education in the U.S. on Wednesday, August 1. The presentation is open to the public at no charge.
Regent Phillips, former board chairman of Westchester Community College, has spent years focusing on education at all levels, starting with his presidency of his local PTA. He is a board member of WISE Services, which provides a structured but independent study program for the senior year of high school. He is also a board member of the Westchester Community College Foundation. Phillips founded H and R Phillips, a general brokerage agency, and served, among other corporate posts, as president of Geothermal Electric Corp.
