The Larchmont Yacht Club (LYC) has committed to host The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Leukemia Cup Regatta, setting sail to help raise funds for cancer research. The event will take place on Saturday & Sunday, September 10th & 11th in Larchmont. Registration information is available online at www.leukemiacup.org/wch/localchapter/larchmontyc.
The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a thrilling series of sailing events that combines the joy of sailing with the important task of raising money to fight leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers. The Regatta is open to Cruising Division, One Design, Ideal 18s, Vanguard 15’s, Lasers, 420’s and Optimists. Optis will include starts for Red, Blue, White and Green fleets. Each sailor in the Regatta series is eligible to win prizes, including the opportunity to sail in New York Harbor with Gary Jobson the weekend of October 14-16, 2011.
The event will include a beach party with dinner, music and silent auction open to all participants as well as friends and family on Saturday. Tickets are available on line.
