Mamaroneck Schools Foundation Junior Triathlon

The Mamaroneck Schools Foundation Fifth Annual Junior Triathlon, featuring age appropriate swimming, biking and running events, is scheduled for Saturday, September 25, 2010.

The event is open to children ages 7 – 14 living within the Mamaroneck School District.  Event details and registration materials will be distributed in elementary school children's backpacks and can be downloaded from www.mamaroneckschoolsfoundation.org.  Pre-registration is mandatory by September 18th.  Space is limited to the first 275 registrants.

A noteworthy feature of the event is a pledge program begun last year:  Participants can collect pledges from family, friends and neighbors to raise funds for Mamaroneck Schools Foundation health and fitness grants.  Participants who gather pledges will be eligible for raffle prizes.

(Note:  There is a strong possibility that the Hommocks pool renovation will not be completed on time, in which case the event will become a biathlon:  biking and running only.  All registrants will be notified by email in a timely manner of any changes to the event.)

Mamaroneck Schools Foundation thanks the Triathlon's donors, Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, Larchmont Mamaroneck Youth Lacrosse, Badger Sports Club, Cornerstone of Larchmont, The Coughlin Group, LeBlanc Orthodontics, Powers Fasteners, and the Sound Shore Junior League.
