The Village of Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce’s 5th annual Wine Trail event—in a concept similar to the winery tours in Napa Valley, CA—will involve local stops at 18 participating restaurants and businesses for wine and food tastings on Sunday, May 1.
The trolleys—hired from a company in Cape May, NJ—will pick up passengers at Harbor Island Park at the intersection of Mamaroneck Avenue and Boston Post Road, and will run continuously from 1-5 p.m., traveling on two different paths around the village.
“It’s really a lot of fun,” said Pam Moran, an administrator at the Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce, noting that people are free to make as many—or as few—stops as they’d like on the Trail. Since many of the restaurants are located on Mamaroneck Avenue, an on-foot tour isn’t completely out of the question (weather permitting).

The Trail not only gives a boon to local restaurants and businesses by driving foot traffic but also provides a way for participants to sample a variety of restaurants without breaking the bank. Those interested in a diversity of ethnic cuisines won't be disappointed with cultures spanning time zones and continents represented including Turkish, Italian, Mexican, and Indian.
A current list of the stops are as follows:
