Priscilla Warner of Larchmont discloses how she overcame 40 years of debilitating panic attacks in Learning to Breathe. Rye resident Andrew Gross began to investigate a nephew’s strange death and crafted it into a richly personal, terrifying tale in Eyes Wide Open. In Pelham, Dorothy Wickenden’s discovery of her grandmother’s lively, riveting letters sent from Colorado’s raw frontier sparked Nothing Daunted: The Unexpected Education of Two Society Girls in the West.
The public is invited to meet the authors afterwards and obtain signed books for holiday giving. Reception and cocktails at 11:30 a.m., luncheon at noon. Tickets are $40 and reservations must be made by Nov. 30. Call 914-834-6962 or 698-5041 to reserve. www.WomansClubofLarchmont.org
