Zion Memorial Chapel, Westchester Country’s ONLY, all-Jewish, free standing and independent funeral home, is celebrating its 30th year.  Opened in 1996 under the advice and direction of Rabbi Steven Ziskind, a mentor and friend of Vincent Graziano, Zion was predicated on the belief that the Jewish community deserved better and more options when it came to burying their loved ones.  Zion, with no conglomerate affiliations and no shared facilities, has been able to maintain better than competitive costs over the years.  They remain, in fact, the lowest cost Jewish funeral provider in Westchester County and are proud of such.  Zion Memorial Chapel has created strong bonds with area rabbis who recognized the firm’s unique attention to detail and heightened compassion towards grieving families.  Zion continues to provide Westchester’s Jewish community with what others can not; a large facility not shared with another funeral home, thereby not impeding families who chose to have services and their desired dates and times.
