DA: Ex-Finance Director Of Hudson Valley Non-Profit Stole $700K
The healthcare organization has locations in Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess and Ulster counties.
Ingrid Aquino, the former Director of Finance of Hudson Valley Community Services, is accused of stealing more than $700,000 from the non-profit healthcare organization between 2017 and 2021.
Aquino, 31, of the Bronx, was indicted by a Westchester County Grand Jury on a felony charge of second-degree grand larceny, Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced.
The District Attorney’s Office arrested Aquino on May 2 following an investigation. She was arraigned Tuesday.

Prosecutors allege that between November 2017 and September 2021, Aquino wrote more than 150 checks from the non-profit healthcare organization payable to her and her husband. The total came to more than $700,000.
HVCS, which is headquartered in Hawthorne, has locations in Mount Vernon, Spring Valley, Kingston, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh and Monticello.

The case is before Judge Anne Minihan in Westchester County Court, and is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Cooper Gorrie of the Trials and Investigations Division.
