Update: Extensive Flooding in the Town of Mamaroneck, Downed Trees in Larchmont
Two additional areas in the town are evacuated and a plethora of downed trees in Larchmont.
Update: Several small streets in the Village of Larchmont have been closed due to flooding, including a portion of Shadow Lane and the Pine Brook area said Mayor Josh Mandell.
"There has been a dramatic increase in the number of trees down on wires," said Mandell, who is also a volunteer firefighter with the Larchmont Fire Department.
High tide is expected in the next 1/2 hour which could potentially bring more flooding; winds and rain are expected to die down around 1 or 2 p.m. this afternoon.

At the moment, there are many wires and trees down along with scattered power outages in the area. Mandell cautioned people outside walking to be extremely careful of potentially live wires and downed trees in their pathways when out walking.
After a night of heavy rains and strong winds, there has been extensive flooding in the Town of Mamaroneck, said Town Administrator Steve Altieri this morning.

Two of the hardest hit areas—Brookside and Kolbert Drives—have been evacuated and are barricaded so that cars don't drive down them.
"Until the weather clears up there's not much we can do," said Altieri.
Although there are a small number of people without power, said Altieri, the flooding has been the worst of the problem. A total of 7-8 streets are closed in the town due to downed wires, trees and flooding.
