Fall Tree Walk A Chance To Check In With Oak Friends
The Mamaroneck Tree Committee fall walk will revisit a few friends from the spring walk to see how much they changed over the summer.

MAMARONECK, NY — Getting to know more about the trees in your neck of the woods is guaranteed to increase appreciation for our shade-giving, leafy friends — the perfect chance to meet the trees in your neighborhood is coming up.
As part of this year's Fall Tree Walk, Sheldrake Environmental Center Education Director Jocelyn Kleinman will lead participants as they examine and discuss oak trees, incorporating some of the ideas raised in Douglas Tallamy’s book, "The Nature of Oaks" at his scheduled October 14, author talk.
Participants will also revisit the trees featured in the spring tree walk to observe the growth and changes that happened over the summer. The walk will explore and discuss a variety of other tree species on the Parkway as well.
