Mamaroneck School District Budget Presentation Tonight
Dr. Robert Shaps, superintendent of Mamaroneck School District, will present his recommended budget tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The Mamaroneck School District will present the superintendent's recommended budget at tonight's school board meeting, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the tiered classroom at Mamaroneck High School (MHS).
For those not in attendance at the meeting, questions can be emailed to: board@mamkschools.org to be answered by the School Board.

This will be the first in a series of meetings to discuss the budget before the 2013-14 budget vote on May 21. The schedule is as follows:

March 12 - Superintendent presents 2012-2013 recommended budget to the Board/MHS Tiered Classroom, 7:30 pm
March 16 - District and Board of Education review the proposed budget line-by-line at public meeting/MHS Tiered Classroom, 9:00 a.m.
April 16 - Board adopts the proposed budget to be voted on by Larchmont/Mamaroneck community members/MHS Tiered Classroom, 7:30 p.m.
April 22 - Murray PTA Elections, Budget discussion, Vote/Murray Auditorium, 7:30 p.m.
April 29 - Hommocks, MHS & SEPTA PTA Elections, Budget discussion, Vote/Hommocks Library, 7:30 p.m.
April 29 - Central PTA Elections, Budget discussion, vote/large group instruction (LGI) Room, 7:00 p.m.
April 30 - Chatsworth Avenue School PTA Elections, budget discussion, vote/Winnie-the-Pooh Cafeteria, 7:15 p.m.
May 1 - Mamaroneck Avenue School PTA Elections, Budget discussion, Vote, 7:00 p.m.
May 7 - Budget hearing – Overview of budget #s (estimated tax rate increase, budget-to-budget increase, etc...) and Board of Education trustee candidates presented/MHS Tiered Classroom, 7:30 p.m.
May 21 - Community votes on 2013-2014 Budget
