A 'Fire Up Together' Chanukah Menorah Lighting Event For All
The first night of Chanukah promises a dazzling experience in Mamaroneck, complete with a laser show, fire truck gelt drop and yes, latkes.
MAMARONECK, NY — Mamaroneck is going to be the place to be on November 28 as a first night of Chanukah tradition returns in signature style.
The festivities kick off at 3:30p.m. near the corner of Mamaroneck Avenue and Boston Post Road in the village. Both indoor and outdoor activities will be part of the celebrations. At 4:30p.m., the night gets into full swing with a laser show, giant menorah lighting and a fire truck gelt drop.
A dazzling display of Chanukah windows, live music and traditional Chanukah crafts will help to set the right mood for the season. In addition to chocolatey delicious gelt, hot latkes and donuts will help remind us why our friends and neighbors are lucky to call our small corner of the world home.

Organizers say the free event is for the whole community and all are welcome. Elected officials are expected to join in the fun as well.
