Flood Mitigation Plans to Be Presented in Mamaroneck

The Army Corps of Engineers' plan could cost $70 million.

MAMARONECK, NY - Flood mitigation plans will be presented to the Village of Mamaroneck at a meeting Thursday.

The Army Corps of Engineers’ plan includes almost 2 miles of channel modifications that will alter the Sheldrake and Mamaroneck rivers, create retaining walls, among other things, according to the Journal News.

Of the $70 million the entire project is estimated to cost, 65 percent would be federally funded.
