Hudson Valley On The Water: Long Island Sound Photo Contest
The Marine Education Center at Harbor Island has announced that the Second Annual Everything Water photography contest is now open.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — There are plenty of things to love about living near the Long Island Sound and now Hudson Valley residents can earn prizes and prestige, sharing the things we love.
The Marine Education Center at Harbor Island has announced the "All Things Water" photography contest is now open. The contest is open to all ages from now until the September 1, deadline.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place photographs. All of the entries will be displayed at the center at Harbor Island Park. The contest will be judged by LMC-TV, The Marine Education Center and the Village of Mamaroneck Arts Council.

There is just one important rule for ambitious photogs to keep in mind.
"All of the photos you guys are going to be sending me are going to be all about our Long Island Sound," Village of Mamaroneck Marine Education Center Biologist Kyle Troy said announcing the kickoff of this year's photography contest. "You're going to be sending me your fish pictures, your bird pictures, your water pictures. Anything you see when you're walking around or boating around the Long Island Sound."

Entries can be sent to ktroy@vomny.org or to PO Box 369, Attention of Marine Education Center, Mamaroneck, NY 10543.
Photographs submitted electronically should be sent in jpeg format.
Contestants should include a brief note telling the judges why they love the Long Island Sound. Information about where the picture was taken, who took the photo and what kind of camera was used is also required.
