'I Missed You': Lisa Loeb Back For A Rescheduled Solo Show

This one-night-only opportunity to see a rare talent in an intimate setting seemed like it might never arrive, but the show must go on.

MAMARONECK, NY — If you know Lisa Loeb just as a 90's pop icon, then you probably don't have small children.

While Loeb might be most famous for the platinum-selling hit “Stay (I Missed You)” from the film Reality Bites, it's the theme song to the "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie" television show, her work with the kids show "Creative Galaxy" and her 2018 Grammy for Best Children’s Album that keeps her popular with a generation born decades after she first rose to fame. The Los Angeles-based mother of two is also a widely read children’s book author.

Her upcoming solo, live performance at the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck promises to be a decidedly grownup affair. The trailblazing independent artist is still breaking the mold. Loeb was the first pop musician to have a Number 1 single while not signed to a recording contract. She followed that record-breaking feat with hit singles and six albums, two of which were certified gold.

Those feeling nostalgic for the 90's will remember Loeb's recent performance at the Tribeca Film Festival celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Reality Bites, along with Ben Stiller, Ethan Hawke, Winona Ryder and Jeanine Garafolo. She continues to create and perform fresh and inventive songs for both new audiences and longtime fans, while designing her signature Lisa Loeb Eyewear that has threatened to eclipse her popularity as a performer.

Lisa Loeb performs solo one night only at the Emelin Theatre on Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Emelin box office. This is a new date for an earlier show rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Seats from the originally scheduled performance have been automatically transferred to this new date.
