Six beaches in southern Westchester scored Cs.

MAMARONECK, NY — How healthy is the beach you frequent?

Save the Sound said 16 beaches on Long Island Sound in Westchester have met or surpassed national averages for clean water from 2011 to 2015.

The 16 beaches scored As and Bs, according to information at SoundHealthExplorer.org.

Six beaches scored Cs:

  • Hudson Park C-
  • Surf Club C-
  • Mamaroneck Beach/Cabana Club C+
  • VIP Club C+
  • Greentree Club C+
  • Davenport Club C+

SoundHealthExplorer.org has an interactive map the public can use to see water quality trends using data from health departments in New York city, Westchester County, Connecticut and Long Island.
