Larchmont-Mamaroneck Patch Has a New Editor
As Patch.com continues to grow and improve, Larchmont-Mamaroneck Patch welcomes a new editor.

Hello! I’m Wendy Mitchell and I’m happy to be coming on board Larchmont-Mamaroneck Patch as your new editor.
As Patch.com continues to grow and improve, the former editor, Alfred Branch, is staying with the company and editing several nearby sites in Westchester County.
I’ve lived in the Greater Danbury (CT) area nearly my whole life and used to work in nearby Katonah. I studied English Literature at Ellis College and Child Development at Post University. I received my Head Teacher Certification through the State of Connecticut in 2008 in Early Childhood Education.
From 2010-2012 I worked for Patch as a reporter, columnist, food critic and guest editor. I also helped launch twelve Patch sites in Connecticut.
During 2012-2013 I volunteered much of my time to help my hometown of Sandy Hook heal after the horrific tragedy of the Sandy Hook School shootings in December 2012. I founded the Sandy Hook Arts Center for Kids (SHACK) as a creative way for kids and families to heal through the power of the arts through free music and art programs. In January of 2014, I was awarded #7 of Top 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013 in the Greater Danbury Area by Hearst Media for volunteer work I performed with The SHACK.
In June 2014, I was rehired at Patch and became Regional Editor for several sites in Southwest Connecticut.
I’m a married mother of three awesome kids, one of whom graduated from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY, and mom to a rescue puppy named Sadie, a 2-year-old black lab mix and a recent breast cancer survivor. In my free time I enjoy hiking, writing, singing and playing bass guitar.
