Larchmont-Mamaroneck Women Discuss Health and Philanthropy

More than 40 guests hear from Nancy Weiser of Weiser Choices

More than 40 women came together to challenge their perceptions about food and how it affects the body and to learn about the critical work of UJA-Federation of New York yesterday at a private home in Mamaroneck. The gathering, held by UJA-Federation’s Larchmont-Mamaroneck Women’s Philanthropy, hosted Nancy Weiser, co-founder of Weiser Choices, which coaches individuals and families on health and wellness. A Mamaroneck resident, Weiser was a featured speaker on GMOs in the 2014 documentary Bought and has appeared on FIOS News’ Raising Our Kids: Healthy School Lunches.

“When those most in need receive our help, they are supported both body and soul,” Elese Silverman of Larchmont told the gathering. Silverman chaired the event with Abbey Moses of Larchmont. “So I especially thank you for making a gift to UJA-Federation today.”
