Larchmont and Mamaroneck Women Visit the Homebound Elderly in Bensonhurst

Women join UJA-Federation to learn about Jewish Community House and its clients

Women from UJA-Federation of New York’s Larchmont-Mamaroneck Community recently spent the day learning about Brooklyn’s Edith and Carl Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst (JCH) and its clients. Supported by funding from UJA-Federation, the JCH primarily serves Russian-speaking Jewish residents of Brooklyn. After learning about the community house’s continuing needs, the women, along with Russian-speaking teens, visited homebound Holocaust survivors and World War II Russian Army veterans, delivering food packages.
