Larchmont and Mamaroneck's New Year's Forecast

We’ve made it through another year and for many of us we’ll be traveling on New Year’s Eve to celebrate with family and friends to ring in 2016.

Last year, snow was on the ground and it was freezing cold; well, what a difference a year makes!

We’re looking at a relatively good forecast for New Year’s Eve and Day — for winter.

No, it won’t be in the 60s like it was on Christmas Day but the entire Hudson Valley will see temps in the 40s during the day today and Friday, and the lows will only drop into the 30s. Today and Friday will feature plenty of sunshine during the day and at night it will be partly cloudy, with no chance of precipitation.

Over the weekend it will get colder, and colder yet at the beginning of the week.

In weather… the patterns are generally changeable. But our pattern has been so amazingly consistent over the last 60 days… that we couldn’t get a single day below average in the city of Poughkeepsie. December has been statistically amazing.”
