Larchmont Police Blotter: Aug 28 - Sept 4

15-year-old male from the Bronx is arrested and charged in connection to a grand larceny in Larchmont.

The following is a brief synopsis of some of the incidents investigated by the Larchmont Police Department between Aug. 28 and Sept. 4:

Grand larceny

Two teenage girls were accosted by three teenage males while walking on the Boston Post Road in the vicinity of Chatsworth Avenue during the late evening hours of Aug. 29.  The girls began to move away from the three males when one of the three removed a small purse from the pocket of one of the girls. The three suspects then fled the area.

On Sept. 3 Larchmont Police detectives responded to an address on East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx and effected the arrest of a 15-year-old male in connection with this case.  The suspect was charged with two counts of felony grand larceny and the matter was turned over to the Department of Probation.  A second suspects had been identified and the arrest is pending.

Vehicle and Traffic Law arrest

A Mamaroneck Village man was arrested on Aug. 31 and charged with operating with a suspended license and a suspended registration after he was observed operating his vehicle on Chatsworth Avenue. The operator was released on his own recognizance.

Larceny

A Pryer Lane resident reported on Sept. 3 that his bicycle, valued at $250, was removed from the bicycle rack in Lot 1.
